CoVid 19 certainly threw us a curve ball but it didn't stop us getting things done at the club, the following is a quick update on what has been happening and where we go from here, as we navigate our way out of the CoVid crisis
As you may know, last year we successfully secured a grant from Heritage Bank Karalee to replace our arena fencing, I'm delighted to say, stage one was completed in March and the new layout for the arena not only looks fantastic, but will give us greater flexibility for parking etc.(see attached photos). Stage two will see new wash bays constructed, work on these should start once restrictions are lifted further.
The last twelve months or so, have seen a number of changes to our cross-country course, with old jumps removed, jumps repaired and new jumps placed. There is still more work to be completed, including a reworking of the course. Rachel and Jessica have taken on the task of reworking the course, they have come up with a new layout that will fulfil Pony Club Australia's new requirements. Thank you, ladies; I really appreciate your willingness to take this project on. If you have been down to the grounds you would have seen a number of jumps have been moved around the course in preparation for placement in their final positions. This has been a mammoth task for our club and I'm delighted to see this next stage taking shape.
After CoVid 19 - moving towards our new normal...
At this stage we are on track to hold our first muster in June (musters are the last Sunday of the month). We will be following the advice from the Government and Pony Club in regard to group gatherings and best hygiene practices.
Our grounds are open but it's important you let Jess (grounds hire coordinator) know you are going, so she can keep track of the number of riders at the grounds.
